NBA 球場外的規則最近大搬風，繼球衣廣告、樂透選秀等新制改革，全明星賽（NBA All-Star Game）制度也將會有所變化，且即將到來的洛杉磯全明星賽新制就上路。
從 1951 年開始舉辦的全明星賽，傳統賽制上即為東西區之間的對抗賽，未來，賽制上將打破東西區的藩籬。
新制規則，兩隊的先發五人一樣由球迷/球員/媒體的投票產生，替補的 14 位選手也一樣由兩隊教練圈選。不同的是，兩隊的票王（例如去年東區為 LeBron James 最多票，西區為 Stephen Curry）將擔任兩隊的隊長，隊長將挑選有入選全明星賽的球員（剩餘 22 位），擔任自己的隊友，不再區分東區、西區。
而兩支球隊將會各代表一家慈善機構來出賽，藉此增加球員們取勝的動力。

此想法是球員工會主席 Chris Paul 與 NBA 總裁（Commissioner）Adam Silver 提出，Chris Paul 表示：
“I’m thrilled with what the players and the league have done to improve the All-Star Game, which has been a priority for all of us.”
“We’re looking forward to putting on an entertaining show in L.A.”
NBA 聯盟的執行總裁（NBA President of Operations）Byron Spruell 也樂觀看待：
“We’re excited about the new All-Star format and appreciate the players’ willingness to try something new.”
至於這些變革是否能讓全明星賽更有看頭？明年 2 月 18 日，洛杉磯全明星賽就知道了。
